Mobilicom wins an additional $345,000 funding as part of a consortium to develop wireless
artificial intelligence for 5G networks announced last year

    2nd March 2021 – Mobilicom Limited is pleased to announce it has been granted a further $345,000 for research & development as part of the WIN (wireless intelligent
    networks) consortium announced in June 2020 (see ASX release dated 5 June 2020).
    Israel Innovation Authority selected Mobilicom to be part of the consortium, which also includes industry leaders Ceva Inc., Ceragon Networks and several high-profile academic institutions, to execute a $4 million project during CY2020. The consortium aims to develop wireless artificial intelligence (AI) for 5G networks.
    Mobilicom has confirmed the project has been extended by 18 months and the total program budget increased to a total of $6.3 million. Mobilicom will receive an additional $345,000 budget (with net grant exceeding $200,000), taking its total budget to $845,000. Its research and development component will be complete in CY2021.
    Mobilicom’s CEO Oren Elkayam commented: “This project focusses on the development of wireless AI to enable the improvement and optimization of 5G cellular technology and we are pleased for the opportunity to work with some of the leaders in this industry, including Ceva Inc and Ceragon Networks.
    “Mobilicom’s key responsibilities will focus on its expertise with MESH networks and unmanned platforms. Once development is complete, Mobilicom will be able to use this technology on its own nextgeneration autonomous systems.

    23 February 2021 – Mobilicom Limited is pleased to announce it has received its first order from Smart Shooter, an Israel-based world leader in fire control teleoperation systems.
    Smart Shooter will incorporate Mobilicom’s controller and MESH networking products (Mobilicom’s SkyHopper Pro and Mobile Controller Terminal) into its SMASH family of fire control systems, including its SMASH Hopper Light Remote-Controlled Weapon Station (LRCWS). These systems require a robust and
    highly-secured data link to operate remotely for their customers in Israel and the United States. Smart Shooter CEO, Michal Mor, said: “We are honored to work with Mobilicom, and combine its innovative technologies and products into our SMASH Hopper family of solution. Fielded and operational, SMASH family create a significant advantage for the infantry soldier and ultimately revolutionizing the world of small arms and optics.”

    4 February 2021 – Mobilicom Limited (Mobilicom or the Company, ASX: MOB) is pleased to announce it has delivered more than 150 units of its Ground Controller Station (GCS) solution, with a combined value of more than $350,000, under its contract with a leading drone supplier.
    This is the second commercial delivery of products under the contract, first announced 18 December 2019, which has now expanded to be worth more than $2.3 million with $1.1 million delivered upon thus far.
    The customer is one of the largest suppliers of drones, small Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (sUAV) and robotics outside of the US and engages in a wide range of defense, homeland security and commercial programs throughout the world with revenue of more than $3.6 billion. The customer selected Mobilicom as vendor of choice for supply of the GCS product for the customer’s tactical drones and sUAVs. The customer is offering Mobilicom’s solution with all of its drones and sUAV platforms worldwide.
    To fulfil the commercial quantities under this agreement and enable volume scalability for future projects, Mobilicom entered into an agreement with an Asia-Pacific electronic manufacturing company to build Mobilicom’s GCS system products (see ASX Announcement 3 July 2020).
    Mobilicom CEO Oren Elkayam said the Company’s boosted manufacturing capacity enabled it to achieve greater volumes while maintaining gross margin targets, giving it more flexibility to meet customers’ needs, especially during COVID-19 related restrictions.
    “Working with this leading drone supplier has benefited our business in many ways. The contract with this client continues to grow from original value of $2 million to $2.3 million, and we are now capable of manufacturing our products at much higher volumes while still maintaining the high level of quality our customers expect,” he said.
    “This marks the second commercial delivery under this contract and we expect to receive additional orders from this customer.”
    Mr. Elkayam said the customer will use also additional units to seed new projects which may ultimately lead to sales expansion beyond the existing orders.

    27 January 2021 – Mobilicom Limited (Mobilicom or the Company, ASX: MOB) is pleased to announce it has received the first orders for its SkyHopper Combo device from a subsidiary of Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI).
    IAI will use the units to initiate marketing and sales of its systems to government customers, based on the first of its kind solution providing it with a cutting-edge technology and a time to market advantage.
    IAI is Israel’s major aerospace and aviation manufacturer, producing aerial and astronautic systems for both military and civilian usage. IAI designs, develops and produces civil aircraft, drones & fighter aircraft, missile, avionics, and space-based systems, banking revenues of more than US$4 billion annually.
    The volume of the order is not material at this stage, though the first orders are of importance to the Company as IAI is basing its new drone platform on the SkyHopper Combo product for future sales to the Israeli Government.
    SkyHopper Combo is a first-of-its-kind, small & lightweight 3-in-1 solution, providing a highly secured, broadband wireless datalink that can operate with or without network infrastructure. This device coupled with Mobilicom’s ControliT secured cloud server enables configuration, network management, fleet management and tracking.
    “Having commenced beta testing of SkyHopper Combo with the IAI subsidiary last month, Mobilicom is pleased to receive the first orders so quickly, proving the capability of our technology,” CEO Oren Elkayam said.

    19 November 2020 – Mobilicom Limited (Mobilicom or the Company, ASX: MOB) is pleased to announce it has received a repeat order valued at approximately $250,000 from a US ground robotics company, adding to its recent sales momentum in the US market with additional orders expected next year.
    As part of the order Mobilicom will deliver its MCU-30 Lite products and Mini Controller PRO, a robust Tactical Mobile Controller and ground control station.
    The customer is a unique designer within the robotics industry, with its solutions designed for a variety of industries including homeland security, mining, oil and gas, aerospace, maritime, petrochemical, public safety and construction.       FLIR is moving into the unmanned vehicles market through its acquisition of Endeavor Robotics, a leading manufacturer in unmanned ground vehicles (UGV) for the global military, public safety and critical infrastructure markets and combat-proven robots. This is in addition to its acquisition of Aeryon Labs, a leading developer of high-performance unmanned aerial systems for global military, public safety and critical infrastructure. FLIR’s solutions position it as a top tier provider for robotics and drones in all markets.
      FLIR has placed an initial order with Mobilicom for its SkyHopper PRO devices, after completing extensive tests of its data link solution over several months. The volume of the order is not material at this stage, though Mobilicom expects additional purchase orders as FLIR secures market share.
      Mobilicom CEO Oren Elkayam said FLIR’s testing had put the SkyHopper PRO up against competitors to
      compare performance.

    11 November 2020 – Mobilicom Limited is pleased to announce it has fulfilled new orders from repeat customer Swift Engineering Inc, a US-based UAV manufacturer, with its technology set to be deployed as part of UAV law enforcement project.
    In the latest order, Mobilicom has delivered the SkyHopper ProV datalink and video solution for integration by Swift subsidiary, Swift Tactical Systems, into its UAV. It is the third Mobilicom solution Swift has purchased for integration, having previously bought and integrated Mobilicom’s MCU30 and SkyHopper Pro devices into its drones for testing, demonstrations and
    initial deliveries in the US and Japan.
    The Swift VTOL is unique solution that has the ability to take off and land anywhere, like other quad-rotor devices, while being able to transition to efficient fixed-wing forward flight without additional launch and recovery equipment. It is intended for long-range operation services.
    Earlier this year, Swift Tactical Systems won a multi-agency unmanned aircraft systems contract with a strategic customer for use of drones to fight crime. Swift’s latest order from Mobilicom is part of initiating of the project, with Mobilicom expecting additional orders from Swift to follow.
    Mobilicom CEO Oren Eklayam said the repeat order from Swift demonstrated Mobilicom’s technology was meeting the needs of the growing market for commercial and industrial drones and robotics. “This is the third time we have supplied Swift with our products which highlights the capabilities and
