SkyHopper breaks into South Korean market in design win with Nearthlab

  • First design win in South Korea, exposing SkyHopper to another new geographic market
  • Autonomous drone platform and service provider Nearthlab specialises in solutions for wind turbine inspection and security applications
  • Nearthlab to implement both SkyHopper PRO V and SkyHopper PRO solutions
  • Sixth design win overall for SkyHopper by Mobilicom

SkyHopper by Mobilicom has secured another design win, this time with South Korean autonomous drone platform and service provider Nearthlab.

Being the first design win for SkyHopper in South Korea, this expands the presence of the brand into another new market and drives its sales potential in the Asia-Pacific.

Nearthlab’s solutions serve wind turbine inspection and security applications. As drone applications for wind turbine inspection increase in popularity, Nearthlab plans to gain substantial market share in the region with its unique autonomous platform.

As part of the design win, SkyHopper PRO has been successfully integrated into an autonomous drone platform that Nearthlab has developed for security applications in South Korea. Each autonomous platform will utilise three SkyHopper PRO units. Nearthlab will partner with both SkyHopper PRO & the new SkyHopper PRO V products and therefore has the potential to generate substantial revenues for SkyHopper by Mobilicom.

“The broad product offering and strong performance of SkyHopper by Mobilicom are perfect for our various autonomous solutions,” said Mr. Jay Choi, Nearthlab’s CEO. “We were also very happy with the close technical support received from SkyHopper by Mobilicom’s team.”

“Along with the recent announcement regarding our move into Singapore it is exciting to have our first design win in South Korea,” said Mobilicom’s CEO Oren Elkayam. “We are quickly building momentum in Asia-Pacific markets and we are happy to cooperate with Nearthlab, a professional drone player in the field.”
