SkyHopper by Mobilicom secures design win with Japanese unmanned vehicles company, Enroutelab Co., Ltd. (eLAB)

SkyHopper by Mobilicom has secured a design win with leading Japanese manufacturer of unmanned vehicles, eLAB.

eLAB is a manufacturer of unmanned vehicles for air, ground and sea, as well as IoT devices. The Company caters to many commercial applications, including infrastructure inspection, surveillance and monitoring, search and rescue, and security.

The SkyHopper solution will be integrated across eLAB’s LAB470 and LAB695 drone platforms, with the Company forecasting the production of hundreds of drone systems in the coming years. Based on the customer’s estimates, with the integration of three SkyHopper units per drone system, Mobilicom estimates revenues exceeding $1.4 million as a result.

Given the breadth of applications that are served by eLAB’s drones, it will be employing multiple ground units working with each drone simultaneously, leveraging SkyHopper’s unique point-to- multipoint feature. Furthermore, Mobilicom’s achievement of obtaining TELEC certification enables SkyHopper to be immediately operated, integrated and sold within Japanese drone systems.

Mobilicom establishes compatibility with drone ecosystem companies

Mobilicom Ltd, developer of 4G Mobile MESH private networking technology, has verified the compatibility of its SkyHopper line of products with several key drone components within the commercial drone ecosystem.

This initiative provides a more complete solution and accelerated integration processes for SkyHopper customers, and thereby aims to increase market share and drive higher revenues for Mobilicom.

The ecosystem consists of the most essential components to include in the development of a drone such as flight controllers, payloads including cameras and sensors, video processing and analytics, and software for services such as fleet-management and mission planners.

Mobilicom has now established compatibility with five key companies within the commercial drone market. All are best-of-breed in their field and can serve several commercial drone applications. These companies are:

  • Pixhawk – High-end open source flight controller hardware that is one of the most in- demand in the market
  • Micropilot – UAV flight controller that serves hundreds of UAV manufacturers, research enterprises and large organisations such as NASA and Northrup Grumman

Mobilicom receives certification enabling Japanese market entry for SkyHopper product suite

Mobilicom Ltd, developer of 4G Mobile MESH private networking technology, has received the necessary TELEC certification for SkyHopper, required for the sale, marketing and operation of wireless products in Japan.

TELEC certification serves as a key milestone for the SkyHopper family of products, as it means Mobilicom can deliver sales to several Japanese commercial drone manufacturers looking to implement the SkyHopper solution into their platforms. With the receipt of this certification Mobilicom continues to exceed milestone expectations according to its internal launch plan, therefore enabling faster entry into new markets for SkyHopper.

TELEC is a certification entity registered with Japan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communication. The certification proves that SkyHopper conforms to the strict technical and legal requirements of Japanese radio law, and thereby complies with industry standards. The TELEC certification validates that the SkyHopper family of products is of the highest quality, and that Mobilicom is committed to delivering these products to the Japanese market.

Mobilicom secures design win with international drone company Aero Sentinel

Mobilicom Ltd, developer of 4G Mobile MESH private networking technology, has secured an additional design win with leading manufacturer of tactical unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) Aero Sentinel.

Mobilicom’s SkyHopper PRO is integrated across all Aero Sentinel’s drone platforms, with the manufacturer having forecasted sales of 500 systems over the next three years. With integration of the SkyHopper PRO communication system into each drone system already underway, Mobilicom expects revenues in excess of $1.5 million as a result based on Aero Sentinel’s production estimates.

Tel Aviv-based Aero Sentinel is a manufacturer of homeland security and civil drones that caters to a broad range of applications, with a customer base spanning more than ten countries around the world.

The key applications that are served by Aero Sentinel’s drones, such as first responder, search and rescue and reconnaissance missions, require extremely reliable drone communication elements that will operate in harsh environmental conditions. SkyHopper PRO’s long-range transmission and non-line of sight capabilities are essential for these applications, as is its ability to transmit secure, encrypted data and video to an unlimited number of personnel in the field.

Mobilicom secures design win with UAV subsidiary of multinational security & surveillance company

Mobilicom Ltd, developer of 4G Mobile MESH private networking technology, has secured a design win with iSTAR UAV, the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) subsidiary of Avnon Group, for integration of SkyHopper PRO into iSTAR’s new drone systems.

Mobilicom releases SkyHopper ONE data link, targeting the high-end DIY drone market segment

Mobilicom Ltd, developer of 4G Mobile MESH private networking technology, has released the SkyHopper ONE, a UAV data link targeting the high-end DIY drone market segment.

The product is the second to be released from the SkyHopper family of products and is available via Amazon and Ebay in selected countries, as well as on the SkyHopper website.

Like the SkyHopper PRO launched in May 2017, SkyHopper ONE also leverages Mobilicom’s proven technology and success in the government and enterprise sector, but offers a cost-effective solution for the high-end DIY market segment. Mobilicom secures second expansion of Mediterranean Gas Project

Sales to the system integrator for this project now exceeding $1,100,000 Ongoing strategic partnership with this customer for offshore operations

13 July 2017 – Mobilicom Limited, developer of 4G Mobile MESH private networking technology, has secured its second expansion of the Mediterranean Gas Project, bringing the total sales-to-date with the system integrator to exceed $1,100,000 for this project alone.

This expansion demonstrates Mobilicom’s continued partnership with the system integrator for the Mediterranean Gas Project. Mobilicom has now supplied several solutions for the project, enabling offshore gas operations security. In doing so, the customer has used Mobilicom’s technology to provide robust and secure connections among all operational platforms including support & operations vessels, coast stations, large ships and other platforms. Mobilicom’s solution enables communication between these mobile elements at a distance exceeding 50km.

“This project has built credibility for Mobilicom with the system integrator, who has expanded our partnership on this project as well as additional projects. Mobilicom wins $450,000 grant to expand business in China

5 July 2017 – Mobilicom Limited, developer of 4G Mobile MESH private networking technology, has won a lucrative grant to expand its business in China.

The grant was awarded through the Israeli Ministry of Economy & Industry’s Smart Money program and is valued at more than $450,000. This award will boost the Company’s business development activities in China over the next three years.

Mobilicom has already established relationships with several Chinese customers and is aiming to grow its presence and impact in China. The grant will boost marketing and sales efforts in the region, driving the growth of its market presence on and offline, building upon its strategic partnerships and expanding its team on the ground.

China is a key market for Mobilicom’s mobile communications unit (MCU) products in the government & enterprise market as well as the SkyHopper products in commercial and industrial drones and robotics.

The Smart Money program is highly competitive, attracting qualified companies with a certain level of export activity and significant potential in China or India. The program aims to contribute financially to the selected companies to foster their marketing capabilities in one of these markets.

Smart Money is an initiative of the Israeli Foreign Trade Administration in an effort to drive a significant increase in the sales of participating companies in the Chinese, Japanese and Indian markets and boost exports from Israel.
